Site review & protection
Confirm scope, colours, sheens, and finish expectations, then protect floors, nearby walls, and adjacent trim with masking and coverings. For front doors, plan entry timing and access so your home stays secure.
Hardware & surface prep
Remove or protect handles, latches, hinges, and closers as appropriate. Clean oils and residue, then de-gloss and sand to create a surface the new coating can bond to.
Repairs & detailing
Fill dents, chips, and gouges, smooth panel profiles, and address rough edges so the finish looks consistent from every angle.
Priming for adhesion
Apply the right primer for the substrate and existing finish, including bonding primers for glossy surfaces and stain-blocking where needed. Exterior doors may require primers suited to moisture and temperature swings.

Cure time & walkthrough

Do doors need to be removed to paint them?
